Guardians of Hope

After yesterday's personality session, I could see there's a lot of doubt in our hearts.

Of our life. Our past. Our choice.

So for all those of us who are unsure of the road ahead,

Here's a little something I wrote for you :

" A doctor saves one from death of sickness.

A pharmacist protects one from false medication.

A nutritionist guards one from the origin of diseases.

So why choose a psychologist?

A psychologist does not save one from injuries,

Nor can he maintain health through medicine or food.

A psychologist can't prevent the certain death.

So why choose a psychologist?

A psychologist, my friend, saves thy from one's self.

A psychologist protects thy from despair.

A psychologist guards thy from loneliness.

So why not a psychologist?

Though death of the body is inevitable,

Death of the soul is not.

I shall be the protector of hope and dreams.

So even when the light is lost,

even when darkness is all you see,

I'll be the candle that guides you back to the sun.

I'm not an angel. I can't prolong the death of tomorrow.
But at the very least, a life filled with hope,

and a death full of integrity,

is the best gift I have for the lost souls I'll meet. "
